About E.P.
I initially created "Elise's Playground" to offer the alternative community in Baton Rouge and New Orleans a place providing old-school industrial, alternative music accompanied with upcoming local bands and a fetish cabaret show. The goal is to sensually enhance all five senses; incense for the olfactory, music for the auditory, patrons to touch, drinks/candy to taste and a show to stimulate visualization. The event also affords the opportunity to dress uniquely in bringing out one's alter ego.
The playground was in full swing in the South when Hurricane Katrina decended upon the city of New Orleans. Obviously, this disaster has caused considerable chaos and, as such, productions have moved to the Pittsburgh area, although shows continue to take place in New Orleans every so often. This situation has provided the opportunity to bring the playground to a new audience and we welcome the chance to share our vision.
Elise's Playground consist of contemporary themes, sharply satirical humor, and a "kinky" attitude. Although often difficult to capture the essence of the show with words alone, Elise's Playground describes itself as "female-centric underground performance art". With firm roots both in New Orleans and Pittsburgh's local scene, E.P. presents "fetish" with a more theatrical essence as evidenced in their aesthetic, as well as their choices in music.
Elise's Playground have received regular local media coverage. PRINT appearances in the Weekly Gambit (New Orleans), City Paper (Pittsburgh), and Cleveland (Cleveland Scene and Cleverock.com); RADIO interview/coverage on the airways of WTUL 91.5 FM and KKND, The End, 106.7 FM in New Orleans.
Since our debut in 2003, Elise's Playground has performed in the following veues. In Baton Rouge, The Spanish Moon; in New Orlean's, TWIROPA, Howlin' Wolf and Tipitina's; in Pittsburgh, Mr. Small's Theater, Rex Theater, G-A-A Venue and Altar Bar; in Cleveland, Peabody's/Rockstar. Elise's Playground was also a special performer to the 2006 Las Vegas Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball at the Stardust Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. We have had special guest appearances by Gene Simmons filming a reality show, ,The Genitorturers and VNV Nation. Elise's Playground is also proud to have participated in charity events to help UNICEF during the Tsunami crisis, the Louisiana SPCA post Katrina and the Pittsburgh Chapter for Cystic Fibrosis headed by Pittsburgh's 50 Finest.
We continue to thank Mistress Natasha Fiore for her ongoing loyalty in New Orleans, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland. Many thanks to Mistress Penelope for her continued support in New Orleans, Las Vegas and Pittsburgh.
